Stuffed Spider Crab
This dish is perfect for holiday celebrations, reserved for special occasions meant to be shared with close family and friends. The recipe is surprisingly easy to prepare:
Ingredients:
- 1 Spider Crab (150g)
- 2 hard-boiled eggs
- 1 onion
- Water
- Salt
- White wine
Recipe Steps:
-
Step 1: Begin by heating a pot of water on the stove with salt (70 grams per liter of water). The water should fully cover the spider crab. Once the water reaches a boil, add the spider crab and let it cook for approximately 25 minutes, adjusting for 15 minutes per kilo. Once cooked, remove from heat and let it cool. Next, extract the legs and open the shell, carefully breaking it apart. Separate all the meat and set it aside.
-
Step 2: Finely chop the onion and hard-boiled eggs.
-
Step 3: Heat a skillet with 2 tablespoons of oil and sauté the chopped onion for about 3 minutes.
-
Step 4: Once the onion is translucent, add the reserved spider crab meat.
-
Step 5: After mixing the ingredients, add the chopped egg and combine everything thoroughly.
-
Step 6: Finally, add a generous splash of white wine, preferably Albariño, and allow the alcohol to evaporate while mixing the contents.
-
Step 7: Once done, remove the skillet from heat and carefully stuff the mixture into the cleaned shell of the spider crab for presentation.
